Grade 1 Studies Cycles

Grade 1 is learning about cycles in their unit of inquiry.  We used the Brainpop Jr video below to further our learning.

Butterfly Video

Stduents then made a map of the butterfly life cycle using the Brainpop Jr. Tool, 'Make-A-Map.'

Grade 5 Padlets

Grade 5 is learning how to use a Padlet  as a possible tool for grade 5 exhibition.


  1. Create a Padlet account by choosing the option to create an account with Google.
  2. Come up with a question you would like your grade 5 students to answer.
  3. Place the question as your Padlet title (and your name)
  4. Place the link to your Padlet on the Padlet below

PYP-5 Exhibition Tools

Grade 5 students were given the following product grid detailing some of the elements of their Exhibition project.  Many of the products can be accomplished using ICT tools.

Grade 3 Solar System Project

Grade 3 students are using Canva to create a poster for their unit of inquiry on the solar system.

Poster criteria:
  • Click on this template
  • Select 'use this template'

  • Then, click on 'Try now' 

  • Log in to your Canva account by selecting 'Log in with Google' from the drop-down menu

  • This template is an example and all of the elements on it can be changed. Colors and placement of items can be changed and the 'drawing' of the planet is only an example.
  • Poster must include the following:
    • Title (planet name)
    • One headline
    • 3-5 captions
    • Fun Facts
    • Picture of planet
    • Name
